Yuan is an educator, author, and nonprofit founder based in the San Francisco Bay Area. She has spent three years working within Stanford Pre-Collegiate Studies across SUMaC Online, Stanford Math Circle, and as USAMO site lead — giving her a front-row seat to how mathematically gifted students experience uncertainty, identity, and purpose.

She holds dual master's degrees in education and law, has authored multiple books on AI education for young readers, and built a Chinese-language social media following of over 500,000. Cyrus is a first-year Applied Mathematics student at USC and a SUMaC 2025 alumnus. He is the founder of Approacher Studio, an anamorphic installation artist, and an AI agent practitioner.

The Craft Evolution curriculum at the heart of Proof to AI grew from his own experience: after spending weeks mastering Manim — the animation library behind 3Blue1Brown's videos — he watched an AI reproduce his work in 10 minutes. Instead of walking away discouraged, he turned that confrontation into a framework. He is the living proof that the struggle wasn't wasted.
